A big part of the photography experience is personality. Anyone can pick up a camera, but not many people can combine the skill of photography and giving clear directions. For me, I am lucky to be gifted with the ability to work well with anyone. I laugh easily and smile often. I want my clients to have a positive experience that feels personal and mindful of their own needs. I feel lucky that I get to have lots of laughs, smiles, and fun working with my clients. And while I can be outgoing, my little inner introvert respects comfortable silence. I am happy to have music playing while we work, so there is no pressure to match any high energy.
As for my photography, I have been able to use my background in fine art to do something I love with a skill level that others can appreciate for many years. I started working in a professional photo studio in 2007. I have over 25 years experience working in Lightroom and Photoshop. I take the time to edit each image myself. I know I don’t look it, but I am over 40 now! Wow! So I have two decades of professional photography experience behind my goof ball grin.
